Technique classes, open for all, take place every week:
Hagit’s Contemporary Jazz class has a unique style that has been developed in the last 13 years. It is a highly physical, energetic, and fun class, where elements of Jazz, Contemporary technique and Improvisation are combined.
Monday — Danceworks. Contemporary Jazz. 8–9.30pm. Open level
Tuesday — Laban. Contemporary level 2. 6.30–8pm
Wednesday — Laban. Contemporary Jazz. 6.30–8pm. Open level
Thursday — Danceworks. Contemporary Jazz. 8.30–10pm. Open level
Friday — The Place. Contemporary Jazz. 6.30–8pm. Levels 2 and 3
Friday — The Place. Introduction to Contemporary. 8–9.30pm
CREATIVE WORK
We offer workshops led by Hagit Yakira, illustrating our creative process. Our aim is to share our work through personal communication and interaction.
Combining her skills and expertise as a dance movement therapist with her philosophical approaches to dance, performance and education, Hagit encourages passionate, emotional and experimental approach to dancing integrating a number of Dance Movement Therapy principles, improvisation and voice work. We are inviting professional and amateur artists, youth groups, and the community of all ages and backgrounds to join us in different settings and spaces.
Hagit has been giving workshops all around the UK (to name a few — Derby Dance, Roehampton University, Arts Club-Sadler's Wells, JCC, Dance Base Scotland, Glasgow Scotland, Shoreditch Youth Dance Company, the Youth Cat group at Laban). As well as around Europe — Germany, Vienna as part of ImpulsTanz, Spain, Sweden, Finland and Israel.

Hagit Yakira is leading creative workshops and performance projects for dancers, students and the community.
Summer 2012 — A guest choreographer for Dance United.
Summer 2012 - Leading a performance project for Big Dance in collaboration with JCC.
Spring 2012 - Teaching dance for Clean Break.
Autumn 2011 — Leading a choreographic project at Laban for the One Year Project based on the piece ‘Sunday Morning’.
Winter 2011 — Leading a Performance Project at the Place for the Bloomberg — ‘Bloomberg staff project’ — a community project for 15 dancers, will be performed at The Place 12 April.
Winter 2011 — Leading a Performance Project for the Sandown Bay Academy in collaboration with The Quay Arts Centre, for theatre and dance students.
Summer 2009 — Laban, London. Leading Performance Projects for the One Year Programme.
Winter 2009 — The Place, London. Leading the Performance Project for the community
