Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Laura is an architectural designer and researcher. Her research interests include spatial and social practice, which range from the building to the city-scale form. She obtained a MArch in Urban Landscape in Mexico and received a MSc in Spatial Design from Bartlett School of Graduate Studies in UCL, where she is finalising her doctoral studies in Architecture and Urbanism.

She has collaborated in diverse architectural and urban design projects both in Mexico and UK. After moving to London in 2008, she has participated in International design competitions, conferences and teaching to postgraduate students at The Bartlett. In 2013, she joined the company Urban Transcripts as a research associate. Her activities at the company include presenting in exhibitions and workshops, and collaborating in various projects involving arts, creative media, urban design and research.
